Oasis - Jay-z Gallagher To Work Together
SHAWN JAY ZCARTER has plans to record with OASIS star NOEL GALLAGHER - even though the rocker publicly criticised the rapper's Glastonbury Festival appearance.
Jay-Z became the first rap star to headline the English festival last weekend (28Jun08), and proved detractors like Gallagher wrong by wowing the crowds at the event.
The Oasis star was one of many critics who insisted hip-hop had no place at the festival, stating, "It's wrong. Jay-Z's got no chance."
Jay-Z admits he was encouraged by the warm reception he received from fans: "Glastonbury was a historic event for me... I'm feeling the love.
"Any time you can come from where I come from... (and) come so far... to come overseas and have people embrace you the way I've been embraced thus far, it's just an amazing feeling."
And now the star is keen to prove there's no ill-will about Gallagher's comments - he's interested in talking to the rocker, and insists he'd be open to a collaboration between the two.
He tells MTV, "I haven't spoken to him (but) I heard he was reaching out... I don't bear any grudge, it's all good."

Ian Brown To Begin Work On New Studio Album
Former Stone Rose’s frontman, Ian Brown, has revealed plans to work on sixth studio album.
With a summer full of festival appearances King Monkey might have trouble finding the time to write the album.
But the untitled record will hopefully be ready to be released by spring 2009.
Speaking to the Dail Star, he said: "I’m writing the next LP in between a load of festies until the end of August."
"It won't be out 'til probably spring."

Ball Girl's a star
The LAT's Chris Hine has all the answers to the Ball Girl video in today's paper. The video (below if you haven't seen it), is one of the new breed of realistic viral advertising videos that has seemed to find its legs in the last few months. The new class of virals tends to show a spectacular feat or bizarre happening of some sort, generally without blatantly featuring the product they endorse. In Ball Girl's case, it's Gatorade.
The buzz and speculation the videos generate -- as in this case, even though Gatorade never meant the ad to go public -- can be many times more valuable to the brand than a standard TV commercials showing an athlete chug the sugary drink. The best of these videos tend to ride the line between reality and fiction -- not so much trying to trick viewers as trying to make them wonder -- and ultimately, make them forward. The creativity levels of these ads is getting higher fast; my guess is we're in for a wave of them, with the best ones always managing to seem just about real.

McFly give away new album with Sunday paper
Copies of Radio:ACTIVE, the band's fourth studio album, will come free with the newspaper on July 20 - more than a month before its retail release.
Band member Tom Fletcher told the BBC: "We get to put [the album] into almost three million homes, which is an incredible opportunity for us. Hopefully the three million people will all enjoy the music and they'll decide to see us when we go on tour."
McFly are not the first act to distribute a new album with the Mail on Sunday. Last year Prince enraged music retailers by giving away copies of his Planet Earth album with the newspaper before it was available in the shops.
Radio: ACTIVE will not be available on the high street until September, when it will be released as a 'deluxe edition' featuring four new songs, a bonus DVD and a 32-page booklet.
